Two of Thailand’s most esteemed culinary figures are joining hands to present a charity brunch titled “International Chefs Day: The Living Legend Chefs Charity Brunch For UNHCR”, at Blue Elephant Sukhumvit Thai Heritage Cuisine, Sukhumvit 13, on Sunday, from 11am to 2pm.
The dining affair is to honour International Chefs Day, an annual event that celebrates the skill and dedication of chefs around the world, and to raise funds for UNHCR’s mission to help refugees facing humanitarian crises around the world.
“This charity brunch not only aims to make a significant impact on the lives of refugees but also present the legendary chefs and their culinary masterpieces as a soft power,” said chef Nooror Somany Steppe, the master chef and owner of Blue Elephant restaurants which serve royal Thai cuisine.
She will be joined by Michelin-starred chef Supinya Junsuta, aka Jay Fai, to delight guests with exclusively crafted dishes.
At this exclusive charity brunch, chef Nooror will showcase her world-renowned bespoke massaman lamb and the legendary foie gras with tamarind sauce in addition to a lavish spread of other gourmet delights. Chef Jay Fai, meanwhile, will present her famous crab omelette, which will be auctioned as a special highlight of the event.
Special activities lined up include a charity raffle and live performances by famous Thai DJs. Also offering some of his masterpieces for auction is veteran artist Vorasan Supap, who has been celebrated for the past 30 years for his deep passion and dedication to capturing the essence of local life. The fee is 5,500 baht per person. Part of the proceeds will be donated to UNHCR. Seats are limited and reservations can be made via [email protected].
