The Banco de España started issuing these 100 Spanish Peseta banknotes in 1970. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2002.
This 100 cien pesetas banknote features the image of Manuel de Falla, the Spanish composer. The house and gardens shown on the reverse side are the Palacio de Generalife, the summer residence of the Moorish kings in Granada.
