Description:
A very nice fine banknote issued by The Bank of Spain. This is the 22 July 1954 five hundred Pesetas currency note. The banknote is blue on multicolored under print. It depicts the image of Ignacio Zuloaga y Zabaleta the famous Spanish painter of the late 1800s and early 1900s center of the front. The back has the same color scheme as the front and depicts the image of one of Zuloaga paintings of a view of Toledo Spain. Both the front and back have the words BANCO DE ESPANA along the edge. The front has three signatures, the date, serial number and the denomination, the back shows the denomination and the serial number. This particular note has the serial number Q4024027, which is shown in red once on the front and twice on the back. The banknote has a watermark depicting the image of Ignacio Zuloaga. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition:

Additional charges will be incurred depending on the value of the item. I would grade this banknote as a nice fine with all the details being preserved. The note has folds, general wrinkling and roughness all along the edges. The note also has short tears at the ends of the central fold. There tears do extend into the frame of the design and they are about 1/4" long. other short tears along the edge are much shorter and do not reach the design. The corners show general rounding and bumps but no major losses. The note has no losses, no graffiti, and no splits. It has a small hole in the center due to excessive folding. It is soiled and has staining as can be seen in the scans. Please see photos for additional condition information.
