Adrian Nieto played for the White Sox in 2014. After the 2013 season, the Chicago White Sox selected Nieto in the Rule 5 Draft. Because Nieto was a Rule 5 Draft pick, he had to be on the Chicago White Sox roster for the entire season, so for 2014, he was the backup to Tyler Flowers. Nieto spent the 2015 season in the minor leagues, and was released after the season.
This is the White Sox 2013-2015 Sunday 1983 Alternate Jersey. It features the 1983 All-Star Game patch as well as the DJR memorial diamond patch was added on the second day of the season to mark the death of owner Jerry Reinsdorf’s son David. It was worn on left sleeve opening day, but on the right sleeve the rest of the season. The Majestic Authentic Collection tag is on the lower left front with a white strip tag below it with “14 46 S1” embroidered on it. It remains in very good condition and in size 46.
