1980 TOPPS 1979 HIGHLIGHTS BASEBALL CARD (#6) SIGNED by DEL UNSER of the PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES. This card celebrates Unser's three consecutive pinch-hit home runs. This card is in near mint condition. The autograph is in blue sharpie.
Unser played for the Phillies from 1973-1974 and 1979-1982. During his long career (1968-1982) he also played for the Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Montreal Expos. Overall in 1,799 games he hit .258 with 87 home runs. He was called on to pinch-hit 334 times! He has worked in the Phillies' front office in various capacities for decades. Unser is now 76 years old, living in Scottsdale, Arizona.
