Description
RARE HALL OF FAME ITEM - From Rookie Season to the Hall of Fame!85-WORD TYPED LETTER SIGNED by DON SUTTON, pitcher for the LOS ANGELES DODGERS. This letter to a Dodgers fan was written in 1966, Sutton's ROOKIE SEASON. It is dated May 24, 1966. The autograph is in blue ink pen.
Also included is the original mailing envelope postmarked "Los Angeles, Calif."
Letter is in mint condition.
Sutton pitched for LA from 1966-1980. From 1981-1988 he pitched for the Astros, Brewers, A's, Angels, and Dodgers again. In 774 games he won 324 and lost 256 with a low 3.26 ERA. In 1998 he was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
DON SUTTON DIED IN JANUARY 2021.
