"Dear Hal;
I wish to take a moment to congratulate you on your election to the "Baseball Hall Of  Fame" However I don't know what took them so long. It should have happened a long time ago. I am really proud and happy for you.
I started to send you a telegram the day it happened, but I gave it a little thought  and decided against it due to the fact that there wound be a lot of people sending them at the same time and I wanted be different (I guess ) , but I don't guess you minded getting the cards and telegrams after waiting  for seemed to be an eternity. I know thats the way I kinda felt and I only waited seven (7) Years along with Yogi B. (after) we were eligible. Anyway I hope this note will cause a little delayed spark of Joy.

Interestingly enough, it took Early only 4 years on the BBWAA to enter the Hall, and Yogi only 2 years so maybe a fuzzy memory recalling it 20 years later in 1992?

Folded previously in thirds horizontally, assumedly for mailing. Staining at points along left border and upper edge with some creasing at lower left and general handling throughout including bottom border use. Looks like Wynn exed out the phone number & incorrect zip code. White box added to cover address for privacy protection. There is no actual white box on the letter. All grammatical errors and incorrect spellings in the text are present in the document itself, not changed or edited in my description. Slight toning with minimal wear to corners and edges, save any previous description.
