    Description

Hello, this is my Nike Sox Jersey.....Red...not White...Boston...not Chicago...... It was issued to Red Sox Top 30 Prospect A.J. Politi for Spring Training in 2020. He is currently listed at #26 and playing at AA Portland. He's a fellow Seton Hall man like myself, so there's that too (no that you cared). Sox are rolling him out as a starter for now, but a lot of folks think he could fast track to the big club if he ends up a reliever.
The jersey is MLB Authenticated with the official MLB Hologram and is a Size 46. Quick Note on "Team Issued" jerseys as opposed to "game Used" jerseys. Because of Covid and Spring Training 2020, almost all Spring Jerseys are listed as "Team Issued" because of Covid protocols. A lot of jerseys were likely game jerseys, but because of protocol had to wait to be authenticated before being sold. So unlike previous years, they were stored. I know, long story, but the point is could have been used in a game, maybe, maybe not, but it was issued and worn by the player at some point.
I bought a few of these directly from MLB and the Sox, and am keeping a few and putting a few others up. I saved one for me and a few for friends, what I like about these is that they are the new MLB Nike jerseys...which fit a lot better than the old Majestic ones. Could just be my preference, but I have noticed a difference myself.
Anyway, I will throw in the original MLB description below, but this is pretty straight forward. It's a 2020 Boston Red Sox Nike Navy Alternate Road Jersey that has been authenticated by MLB and the Sox with the MLB Hologram.

ABOUT AJ POLITI (Per MLB Pipeline)
Politi redshirted in his first season at Seton Hall and posted a 5.04 ERA while battling the strike zone over his next three, the Red Sox liked his pitch data enough to take a 15th-round flier on him in 2018. Signed for ,000, he fared well as a multi-inning reliever in high Class A during his first full year as a pro and posted a 1.27 ERA in five late-season starts.
Boston began wondering if he might be a starter, and a strong performance during instructional league last fall added more support for that idea. Politi has picked up 2-3 mph in velocity since turning pro and now operates at 92-95 mph and touches 97 with a four-seamer that has some of the best fastball spin rates in the system, creating carry and armside run that's tough on right-handers. His mid-80s slider gives him a sharp second pitch at times and he can turn it into an upper-80s cutter as well. He'll also mix in a curveball with some power and depth and a nascent changeup as a starter. Politi has a herky-jerky delivery with effort that adds deception but also is difficult to repeat, which takes a toll on his control and command.
The Red Sox probably will give him the opportunity to show what he can do with a full season of starts in 2021, but he's most likely to become a multi-inning reliever. If he takes the bullpen route, he may not need much more time in the Minors.
Anyway, that is about it, any questions just fire away -Zac
Note about Me and Anything I am selling: I'm a fan and a collector, not a seller, and if I am selling a collectible, it's likely one of three reasons.
    1. I bought something I wanted but it was part of a group that included other items, so I'm selling the others that came with the one I wanted.
    2. I bought a "Mystery Box" hoping for one thing but got something else, whether it be an item or player. And so I'm hoping to find a good home for that item who will appreciate it more than me.
    3. I bought something new, probably a jersey, and so I'm selling an old one so my closet doesn't overflow or to justify the cost.
With this in mind, ALL of my items always have a Submit Offer Option, which I encourage fans to use. However, if you do send an offer, please let me know WHY you want it, otherwise I am generally likely to decline that offer.
