In 2018, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. He made his MLB debut in September 6, 2019 against the Toronto Blue Jays, where he played alongside the likes of Ji-Man Choi, Austin Meadows, Avisail Garcia, Kevin Kiermaier, Nate Lowe, Willy Adames, Matt Duffy, Joey Wendle, and Mike Zunino. Unfortunately, as the Rays started gearing up for the 2019 Postseason, they DFA’d Sulser to make room for Yandy Diaz. But that didn’t stop the Rays from making Sulser a Postseason jersey!
