    Description

Hello, this is my Nike Sox Jersey.....Red...not White...Boston...not Chicago......It was issued to Frank German, who is a Sox prospect that came over from the Yankees.
German is in AA right now, he's only 23, and should make the Sox at some point in the years to come. What is cool here is this is..most likely...one of, if not his first Sox jersey. He played in the Yanks org in 2019, was off in 2020 but in Sox camp. Which brings me to another point about "Team Issued" verses "game Used."
Because of Covid and Spring Training 2020, almost all Spring Jerseys are listed as "Team Issued" because of Covid protocols. A lot of jerseys were likely game jerseys, but because of protocol had to wait to be authenticated before being sold. So unlike previous years, they were stored. I know, long story, but the point is could have been used in a game, maybe, maybe not, but it was issued and worn by the player at some point.
I bought a few of these directly from MLB and the Sox, and am keeping a few and putting a few others up. I saved one for me and a few for friends, what I like about these is that they are the new MLB Nike jerseys...which fit a lot better than the old Majestic ones. Could just be my preference, but I have noticed a difference myself. Anyway, I will throw in the original MLB description below, but this is pretty straight forward. It's a 2020 Boston Red Sox Nike Navy Alternate Road Jersey that has been authenticated by MLB and the Sox with the MLB Hologram.

ABOUT FRANK GERMAN (from NBC Sports at the time of trade)
Here's a reason to like newest Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Frank German -- the pitching-savvy Tampa Bay Rays had their eyes on him in the 2018 MLB Draft. He ended up going to the New York Yankees in the fourth round, but one of the men in Tampa's draft room that day was Chaim Bloom, and on Monday the Red Sox' chief baseball officer landed German as part of a salary dump that also brought reliever Adam Ottavino to Boston. The 23-year-old Queens native throws a fastball that touches 98 mph and most likely profiles as a future big league reliever.
    MLB PIPELINE
Red Sox #29 ranked prospect Known for his feel for pitching in college at North Florida, German ranked fifth in NCAA Division I in ERA (1.58) and sixth in WHIP (0.83) in 2018. He intrigued pro teams when his velocity started to spike just before that year's Draft and since signing with the Yankees in the fourth round, he has thrown about 3-4 mph harder than he did with the Ospreys. The Red Sox acquired him from the Yankees in January 2021 as part of the Adam Ottavino deal.
German now works at 94-96 mph and tops out at 98 with his four-seam fastball, which features running action and elicits swings and misses in the strike zone. He also has upgraded his changeup, which can be a solid weapon with fade and sink but also can get too firm on occasion. The Yankees helped him turn his college slurve into more of a true slider, but he still needs to tighten his breaking ball to achieve more success against right-handed hitters.
German still is learning to harness his improved stuff, as his walk rate nearly tripled from 1.5 per nine innings between college and pro ball in 2018 to 4.2 in his first full pro season. Scouts don't love his arm action and he missed a month with shoulder soreness in 2019, so he could be destined for the bullpen. If Boston makes him a reliever, he could ride his fastball to Fenway Park in a hurry.
Anyway, that is about it, any questions just fire away
    -Zac
Note about Me and Anything I am selling: I'm a fan and a collector, not a seller, and if I am selling a collectible, it's likely one of three reasons.
    1. I bought something I wanted but it was part of a group that included other items, so I'm selling the others that came with the one I wanted.
    2. I bought a "Mystery Box" hoping for one thing but got something else, whether it be an item or player. And so I'm hoping to find a good home for that item who will appreciate it more than me.
    3. I bought something new, probably a jersey, and so I'm selling an old one so my closet doesn't overflow or to justify the cost.
With this in mind, ALL of my items always have a Submit Offer Option, which I encourage fans to use. However, if you do send an offer, please let me know WHY you want it, otherwise I am generally likely to decline that offer.
