Authentic game worn & signed Pedro Martinez 2005 Mets jersey - Photo matched
All-original road jersey was worn by the Hall of Famer during his first season in New York.  The shirt has all of its proper tagging inside the lower portion of the front tail area; made by Majestic, it is a Size 46, with the "Set 1 - 2005" tag above the +2" Body (extra length) tag.   Correct "0062" tag is curled from wears and washes.
This exact jersey was worn by Pedro in his very first start back in the National League on Opening Day of 2005 in Cincinnati.
The underside of both sleeves were customized with a triangle portion of light grey mesh.  This was how Martinez' pitching day jerseys were from 2001 till the end of his career.  He liked the flexibility and free movement the extra room provided.  From 1997-2000, his game day jersey sleeves were split at the seam; batters finally complained about the sleeves flapping, causing a distraction from his 97 MPH fastball and unhittable change up.  That explains the extra material.
Nicely autographed on the back by in silver "Pedro Martinez Cy 97-99-00".  100% photo matched to Opening Day of 2005, where Martinez struck out 12 in six innings in his aforementioned first start as a Met.  Easy to recognize this is DEFINITELY the same jersey pictured from the visible loose threads on the "E" and "Y" are seen in both the first photo and the close-up of the front.  The cut and alignment of the "New York" 3-D lettering matches up perfectly.  As evidenced by the strong and obvious wear throughout, this shirt was worn for many of his road starts.  Just a beautiful game worn artifact.
Pedro had a very good 2005 season, making the All-Star team, going 15-8 with a 2.82 ERA.
