    The 1953 Spanish peseta banknote is the last time the 1-peseta was issued as a banknote. The obverse side has the image of Admiral Alvaro de Bazan, the first Marquess of Santa Cruz. The reverse side features a Spanish galleon at sea. The note has no security features. However, it measures 85 x 60 mm.
