About The Artist
I am a self-taught artist that started in oils with private lessons when I was 8 years old for about a year.  I have experimented with other mediums but I love the way the classic look and feel of the oils and worked on my own ‘wet on wet’ technique that I have been developing for the past 20 years.  I originally started drawing with pencils as a child and at the age of 13 had my first pencil drawing published in the Quarter Horse Journal.
My inspiration comes from what is happening in the sports world since I love to capture ‘the moment’, the excitement, thrill and the energy of the players, the fans and knowing you just saw something that will be written in history of sports! Sometimes I like to paint the old-time champions as tributes to keep the memory of them alive.
My clients are lovers of anything sports and equestrian.  I am commissioned to do custom pieces of sports moments in history, race-horses, show horses and even family pets. A lot of the work that I display at the shows are pieces that I chose to paint  and that move me. People that aren’t into sports love them for the movement and bright colors. Art collectors purchase my work for their private collections and for corporations.
