    Description

1993 Tony La Russa  Oakland A's game used gray road jersey, size 44, #10
Patch on left sleeve of the elephant with two bats was only used in 1993 and 1994. In 1994 the left sleeve had the 125 years of Baseball patch on the right sleeve.  So, this clearly puts this jersey as a 1993 gamer.
La Russa managed the A's to a 68 and 94 record as the team was diminished from the prior era powerhouses.  Gone were such stars as Dave Stewart, Harold Baines, and, Matt Moore.  Rickey Henderson was traded during the season, and, Mark McGwire was injured quite often.  Canseco was already gone, and, former stars such as HOFer Goose Gossage, and, starters Ron Darling and Bob Welch were well past their primes.  They still had Ruben Sierra, HOFer Dennis Eckersley, and, a number of former solid players such as Dave Henderson.
However, for this season, they, along with Tony La Russa could not make a difference.
Oakland in script on the front in green, framed in gold, along with a small "10" done in the same colors.
Back has the LARUSSA name on a name plate in green framed in gold, and, the large "10" on the reverse is in green , framed in gold, as well.
The key to identifying the jersey as originating with the A's is found on the inner left tail, stamped in black ink is "Purchased from OAKLAND ATHLETICS"
The Russell tagging is appropriate for the era
There is the velcro closure across the chest.
The overall use is as expected of a Manager jersey with a few loose threads and even overall use.
The Getty image is the only picture I was able to find from 1993-It is hard to find anything to definitely match although the gap between the 1 on the front of the jersey and the line under the Oakland name seems to be appropriate.
A great jersey from the 16th year of his incredible 33 year HOF managerial career!
